Last week I was browsing some old Tim Sweeney, of DFA fame, mix sets and stumbled upon this one together with Soft Rocks. Enchanted by this dark african groove in one of the songs I tried to find the track by the track list and suffice it to say it wasn’t easy when it wasn’t even spelled correctly. After a few hours of searching it turned out to belong to the arsenal of Innervision in their the second “Secret Weapon” release in 2008.

Don’t be fooled by my labeling of the next tune as afro house. It’s also a “Secret Weapon” released a few weeks ago and marks a really nice experimental track.
